At the suggestion of Martin Zimmermann, Chairman of the Eritrea Relief Organization in Germany (EHD), our metal workshop constructed a special bicycle from various used parts that can be used as a mobile workshop for sharpening scissors and knives. A set of tools also enables other manual services to be carried out.
We have produced a total of 10 of these bicycles and have now delivered them in their entirety to the Eritrean War Disabled and Disabled Persons Association (ENWDVA). Other donations in the 40′ container included pedal sewing machines, workbenches and tools for small decentralized carpentry workshops in rural areas as well as wheelchairs and rollators.
Thankfully, the German government-owned GIZ supported the transportation with a grant.
